Characteristics

Origin

Selection of plants from the Aeginis variety. The selection was made by Mr. Konstantinos Pontikis, Professor of Pomology at the Agricultural University of Athens.

Tree

Medium size. Slightly erect growing behavior. The bark is light grey in color. It is considered a very productive variety with excellent quality nuts.

Fruit

Large size (25x16mm) and long, egg-shaped form. The color is yellow-green and slightly pink where the sun can reach. The nut inside is red-pink, crispy and very tasty.

Maturation

Flowering and maturation are 10 to 15 days later than Aeginis variety, placed respectively late April and mid-September.
