SPECIES: CRANBERRY

The cranberry tree is a deciduous tree that reaches a height of 5-10 meters. It can grow in almost all types of soils. It can utilize fertile and less fertile soils whose pH ranges between 6.0-7.5. It is not sensitive to wet or dry soils. It blooms early in winter (January-February). The wood of the tree is very hard and has great resistance to breakage. The fruit ripen in the autumn. A byproduct of the fruit is a kind of liquor.
