SPECIES: PAULOWNIA TREE
Paulownia is used in the garden, in parks, in tree lines for both ornamental - aesthetic and ecological reasons, since it has the ability to bind significant amounts of carbon dioxide, while it has the ability to "clean" the soil from heavy metals.
It is also used to create wood production plantations or is planted as an energy plant for biomass production.
Paulownia is a fast growing tree. In the first year it can reach 4-5 m under favorable conditions. It has a spherical crown and impressively large oval-heart-shaped leaves up to 80 cm long. The root system of the tree grows to a great depth that sometimes reaches 16-18 m.
