Characteristics
The sour cherry tree is a deciduous tree, of medium growth, 5-7 meters high and has a rich root system. Its leaves look like cherry leaves, but are much smaller.
It bears fruit at a younger age, compared to the cherry tree. After the third year it enters full production. It is a tree of temperate cold climates and can withstand winter cold, like the apple tree. It blooms late, usually not affected by late spring frosts.
